The sleek and distinctive Sud Aviation Caravelle III was the world’s first short-to-medium-haul jet-powered airliner to be developed. The maiden flight took place in 1955 after a development period involving de Havilland, which supplied technology from the Comet airliner, and Rolls-Royce, which supplied the Avon turbojet engines.

The Just Flight Caravelle brings you the Series III variant, modelled using real-world plans. The aircraft features a highly detailed virtual cockpit with 3D instrumentation, realistic wear and tear, and functional electrical, hydraulic and fuel systems.

The Caravelle III was the best-selling variant of the aircraft, operated by airlines such as Air France, Swissair, Alitalia and SAS. Many of the earlier aircraft were upgraded to the Series III standard, which introduced improvements to the Rolls-Royce Avon engines. By the time that production ended in 1972, a total of 282 aircraft had been built and sold to airlines across the globe.
