On December 3rd, 1941, several C47s from 332 Squadron began four days' training at the large base of the Panama Canal Zone. These pilots would take a fast course in jungle flying, taking off in bad weather, landing in short airfields, dropping cargo and delivering jeeps and cannons to far-off villages. War was coming and cargo squadrons had to be ready to be transferred to any place in the world. Pilots flew many hours in those four days and learned a lot in that short time - the war would be coming soon.
