F70/100 Professional for MSFS 2020/2024

November 2025 update!
6 November 2025

It’s been a while since we last shared news on the F70/F100 Professional. Understandably, given how feature-complete and visually stunning the aircraft was already looking back in the summer, many of you have been wondering why it’s not yet been released.

I appreciate that the lack of news, especially given the numerous releases of upgrades for our existing aircraft, has led to speculation about the progress of development. We have always been open and transparent about our development work, engaging directly with all of you in the community, but sometimes that can be tricky in the latter stages of development when the inevitable questions are asked about a release date, when we’re still not certain of the answer ourselves. Whilst that might give the impression that development has stalled, that is far from the case, so I wanted to clarify the situation in greater detail.

The development work, with its origins all the way back in 2022 with artwork creation for FSX/P3D, began to ramp up in MSFS in the latter half of 2023, and has continued solidly in the two years since. As many long-time simmers will know, complex airliner projects typically take several years, which can feel like a lifetime for both you and us! With the release of RJ Professional this time last year, the F70/100 project became the key focus of the development team, and intensive work has been under way since then.

It’s fair to say that the development process has been a huge learning curve for our development team. Starting with the relatively modest PA-28s, through to military aircraft, and then airliners such as the 146, F28 and RJ, we’ve continued to build on our experience and tackle ever more complex aircraft. The F70 and F100, with their highly integrated and automated avionics, comparable with more modern Airbus and Boeing airliners, were by far our biggest jump yet.

As of last month, the F70 and F100 are fully functional in both MSFS 2020 and 2024, with beta testing having been under way for several months now. Following the integration of the complete sound package this week, which will no doubt sound as incredible as our previous MSFS aircraft, our focus will turn to finishing work on the automatic flight system and FMS. By far the most complex aspect of the aircraft, our coders have spent months tweaking and fine tuning those systems, with particular attention on getting the NAV (LNAV) and PROF (VNAV) autopilot modes to work in harmony with the autothrottle and FMS. Like on a modern Airbus or Boeing, those are essential systems for the realistic operation of the aircraft, and are not something that we can compromise on.

I have no doubt that, as with our other aircraft, we’ll continue to perfect and upgrade the F70 and F100 well into the future, but we also need to maintain our usual high standards for the day one release, ensuring that we release a high quality, realistic and immersive product, even if that means delaying their arrival and frustrating those of you who are desperate to get your hands on them.

Great progress is being made each week on the automatic flight system and FMS, with each build bringing important improvements and bringing us closer to release. Whilst we’re still not in a position to share news on a release date just yet due to the complex and time-consuming nature of that work, we’re finally getting close to that point. The team are busy creating numerous videos showing off the huge array of features and we’ll start sharing those with you soon.

While the F70 and F100 team have been focused on all that important work, we’ve also had an incredibly busy year bringing all ten of our existing MSFS 2020 aircraft to MSFS 2024, taking the opportunity to significantly upgrade them for both platforms. That year-long project is coming to an end later this month, with the release of 146 Professional v2.4 - another massive free upgrade, which includes MSFS 2024 native compatibility.

Finally, the A300B4, our other hotly anticipated airliner for MSFS, has also been progressing very nicely throughout 2025. With the cockpit and cabin interior artwork now complete, and the exterior artwork and systems coding in the latter stages of development, we’ll be bringing you more news on the project very soon.

So, I’d like to apologise to all the F70 and F100 fans out there for the long wait for the releases, and the recent lack of news, and assure you that it’ll be well worth the wait. We’ve got no doubt that these will be our best airliners yet and we can’t wait to bring you the upcoming preview videos.
