TRUElandscape FRANCE covers the entire French territory with brand-new landclass and landscape scenery, providing a better rendition of the land cover and the finest hydrographic network designed to bring the best experience in VFR flying.

The ambition of this product is to provide a true benchmark for VFR simulated air navigation. We will soon set up monitoring and reporting that will allow us to regularly modify existing data and enhance the product.

TRUElandscape FRANCE is provided with a customised ground texture set from the Terra Emergence Project (TEP) add-on. This texture set has been provided by its author Aimé Leclerc and allows a very important ground texture rendering enhancement compared to default landclass textures without overwriting default textures files. These textures are located in a 'Texture' sub-directory of the main TRUElandscape FRANCE directory and do not cause conflicts with the Prepar3D default textures.

SETTINGS

TRUElandscape FRANCE is compatible with all kinds of add-ons such as mesh, landclass, texture packs or photoscenery. Installation does not modify any element in your configuration and the product can be activated or disabled at will with a simple click.

To ensure maximum compatibility we recommend you shift TRUElandscape FRANCE in the scenery library above meshes and other land products and below photosceneries and local sceneries (airports).

TRUElandscape FRANCE is designed with geo-referenced data and we recommend the combined use of high-resolution mesh as France VFR - NEXTMesh France. France VFR - Obstacles & VFR Landmarks is the idela accompaniment to enhance your experience.


LIMITATIONS

Given the amount of data involved, and the fact that a product such as 'landclass' only approximates reality, rendering areas may be more or less faithful and vary depending on season, time or local layout.

If you encounter any problem or areas obviously wrongly rendered, please let us know so that we can update TRUElandscape FRANCE for future versions.


INSTALLATION

Every France VFR product provides an automated installation program consisting of one or more executable files, which you should unzip and/or copy to your desktop first.

Run the first installation program provided (usually number 1) and follow program instructions. When completed, run the following programs to complete the installation and run Prepar3D. You can  create or select a flight. The installer supports automatic declaration in scenery library. The installation process completes after Prepar3D is launched.

Uninstalling

To uninstall your France VFR product, follow these steps:

  • Click the START button in the Windows taskbar
  • Click on 'Programs' then 'France VFR' and then locate the menu option for your product
  • Click the uninstall option

WARNING

The databases from which we extracted our data for this product remain property of their owners. It is forbidden to rebuild these bases decompiling files. Generally speaking, any 'reverse engineering' is prohibited. A certain amount of false items has been added to this product in order to protect our original data. They are legally declared.

If your hardware does not comply or if you experience graphical artifacts, please lower scenic 3D and autogen settings with sliders.
