It is the 15th busiest airport in the US, handling more than 33.2 million passengers in 2012. Sea-Tac's cargo operations rank 21st in the US. The airport also handles shipping operations. The passenger cruise terminals at Pier 66 and Smith Cove Terminal handled 202 ship calls and an estimated 934,900 passenger during the 2012 season.
The airport is the main hub for Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.
