The C177 Cardinal is a high-wing, single-engine aircraft. Originally designed as a replacement for the popular C172 Skyhawk, the first flight took place in 1967 and a total of 4,295 were built before production ended in 1978. Featuring a Lycoming O-360 piston engine producing 180hp, the C177 has impressive performance. The C177B cruises at 124kts and the C177RG cruises at 148kts, an additional 24kts gained from the retractable undercarriage.
