CD/DVD emulation software
Error Message: Cannot Locate the CDROM. CD/DVD emulation software has been detected. Please disable all CD/DVD emulation software and restart the game.
You have received this message because emulation software or a virtual drive has been detected on your machine.
Typical emulation software includes Daemon Tools, Clone CD and Alcohol 120.
In order to play your game you must disable the emulator from trying to circumvent Safedisc.
Below is a list of instructions for how to do this in Alcohol 120, Clone CD and Daemon Tools:
If Alcohol 120% is on the machine:
Start Alcohol and go to the Emulation Options.
Select 'Emulation' from the options tree. Uncheck the 'Ignore Media Types' box to turn off the media type emulation.
Select "Extra Emulation" from the options tree. Uncheck the "BAD Sectors Emulation" to turn off this type of emulation, exit Alcohol 120% and restart the
game.
If CloneCD is on the machine:
Look on your task bar at the bottom right of your screen (next to the clock). Locate the CloneCD tray icon, which can be a picture of two CD-ROMs or of a
sheep's head. Right Click on the icon and make sure "Hide CD-R media" is un-ticked. Restart the game application.
Daemon Tools:
Right Click on the Damon Tools icon in the Task Bar.
Select the Emulation tab.
Deselect Safedisc.
FSUIPC warning
Users who have updated there installation of Microsoft's FS2004 to Version 9.1 via Microsoft's official patch may find that Flight Simulator will crash upon loading due the updated version of Flight Simulator being incompatible with the version of FSUIPC supplied with many of Just Flights products.
Please download an updated Version 9.1 compatible FSUIPC module from Here and install according to the below instructions.
If you have any problems using the above link please paste the following address into your internet browsers address bar:
http://www.schiratti.com/files/dowson/FSUIPC.zip?timestamp=180204
and download the file to your PC.
Once you have downloaded the FSUIPC update (version 3.4.0.0) you will need to copy FSUIPC.DLL file to the Modules folder within the FS9 directory. Its default location is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Modules\
Simply highlight the FSUIPC icon that you have downloaded and either drag it into the Modules folder or use the Copy and Paste function. When prompted during copying the FSUIPC module into this folder, select the option to overwrite the existing file.
Shortly after take-off I lose all power to my landing gear and radios etc.
Please browse for the aircraft folder of the relevant aircraft, open aircraft.cfg, search for section {electrical} and add the line
electric_always_available=1
If a line
electric_always_available=0
already exists, change it to read
electric_always_available=1
What is CD2 used for?
CD2 contains the installation files for installing to FS2002. If you do not have FS2002 then you will not need to use CD2.
When using the Spitfire in FSX, the float variant isn't behaving correctly
Please download this file: http://updates.justflight.info/jf/Spitfire/Spitfire_float_fix_FSX.zip
Once downloaded, extract the zip. Now move the file, Aircraft.cfg into this folder, overwriting the existing file:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\JFFSX_Spit_mkVBFloats
Fix kindly provided by Melo Scanlon
My aircraft appears to have no textures/is appearing white
If you are running Windows Vista and have a DirectX 10 graphics card, Service Pack 2 installs a selectable preview mode to show how Flight Simulator will look when the DirectX 10 graphics system is fully enabled. It is likely that this will be fully functional in the next version of Flight Simulator. However, one side effect is that any aircraft that are not DX10-ready may be missing their textures. To resolve this you can simply untick the DX10 Preview in the Display Setting menu.
If you don’t see this option in the Display menu then you don’t have a DX10-ready PC and you won’t experience this side-effect

The propellor and canopy textures are not displaying correctly. They appear to be a solid texture
Unfortunately Spitfire is not compatible with Flight Simulator X SP2/Acceleration. It can only be used on Flight Simulator X (+SP1).
