After installing 757 Captain, Flight Simulator crashes when trying to load the PSS 757/777 aircraft
Unfortunately it appears that there is a conflict between the Captain
Sim 757 and these products. This conflict will cause Flight Simulator to

I am looking for a tutorial for the 757 Captain
A PDF tutorial and tutorial flight for the 757 Captain can be downloaded and installed using the Download link.
To install this tutorial please ensure that you have your Just Flight 757 Captain DVD in the drive when running the installer.
This tutorial can be installed into both FS2004 and FSX. The access the PDF tutorial please go to Start>Programs>Just Flight>757 Captain>Tutorial. The tutorial will explain how to load the tutorial flight.

What software version does my 757 Captain contain?
The versions that ship with the 757 Captain DVD are as follows:
FS2004: v2.0
FSX: 4.1
The latest update for FSX will upgrade the version to v4.4. The upcoming FS2004 update will upgrade the software to v2.1
I cannot hear any cockpit announcements in the 757 cockpit
Please install the latest service pack
Parts of my aircraft are missing/Panels are blacked out/The animation panel will not open
Please ensure that FSX SP2 is installed
If it is, unfortunately you will need to reinstall FSX, SP1, SP2 and 757 Captain in order to resolve these problems
The autopilot will not work / The HSI and attitude indicator are not displaying data
Please follow the tutorial. You have not aligned the IRS units and entered your current position into the CDU
The aircraft is rocking when the autopilot is engaged
Make sure you have the 757 Captain service pack installed and then install the latest version of FSUIPC

You
need version 4.53 for FSX, and 3.93 for FS9/2004. You don't need to
register it, when the installer finishes choose "enter registration
key", and then just cancel.
I am getting poor performance / low FPS when using the 757

I cannot get the autopilot to hold a heading that I have selected
Please right click on the heading knob in order to activate HDG select mode
When I try to load the 757, I keep getting asked to approve a file. I approve it but the same message keeps appearing!
FSX has a security feature will forces you to manually approve certain aircraft gauges before it can be loaded.
You need to click YES every time. It won’t be taking you back to the first security warning, it will be asking you to allow the next gauge. You should notice the file name (e.g. Captain_Sim.c120.icons.GAU) changes each time.
Once all of the gauges have been approved, you will not be asked to do this again.
Where can I download the v2.2 update for 757 Captain (in FS2004)?
Despite our best efforts over the last few months, we have been informed by the Captain Sim, the developers of 757 Captain, that their development cycle for Flight Simulator 2004 for all its products has ended and as such they are unable to supply any further updates for the Flight Simulator 2004 version of 757 Captain to Just Flight which would have enabled us to create the V2.2 update to supply to you, our valued customers.
To explain, any updated files for this title need to be especially created and supplied to Just Flight by Captain Sim and as Captain Sim no longer have Flight Simulator 2004 on their development computers they are unable to supply us these V2.2 update files, so sadly our hands are tied here. We are unable (both from a technical and legal perspective) to do anything with the V2.2 update that is available for the download version of 757 Captain. We very much appreciate and share your frustrations with this situation and hope you accept our apologies. The Flight Simulator X (FSX) version of 757 Captain continues to be supported.
Updates
"Please insert DVD" Problem
This patch will modify the 757 Captain installer in order to resolve the problem some people are reporting when trying to install under Vista.
Please save the update to a convenient location on your PC.
To run this update you will need the 757 Captain DVD in the drive. If the 757 Captain splash screen appears when inserting the disk, please close it down.
Run the update and select your desired language.
The installer will automatically suggest the location of the drive that contains the 757 Captain disk. If this is not correct please use the Browse tab to selection the correct location. When ready to proceed to the next stage press the Next button.
The update will then begin copying files. Once this has been completed it will launch the main 757 Captain installer. Please follow the on-screen instructions and install the 757 Captain in the usual way. Once this has completed your PC will revert back to the 757 Captain update. Please wait a few moments whilst the remaining tasks are completed.
The update should now be complete and the 757 Captain can be used as normal.
