FAQs
The 3-D buildings/autogen are missing after installing VFR Real Scenery
VFR Real Scenery is a photographic scenery package. Photographic scenery in flight simulator simply replaces the existing ground textures with photographic ones. Packages such as VFR Real Scenery do not add any 3D elements, which is why buildings such as the Dome and Canary Wharf will appear flat. All auto-gen scenery (buildings, trees etc) are removed.
VFR Real Scenery is best viewed from above 3000ft as you will then get a true 3D experience, far superior to that of the default scenery.
Parts of the area covered by VFR Real Scenery appear to differ in colour and contrast from the rest
Aerial photographs are taken all year round and this is reflected in VFR Real Scenery. The colours and conditions encountered over the various seasons lead to differing appearances in FSX.
