November 2007: There will be no FSX update for this FS2004 add-on.
777 Professional
May 2007: The developers have stated that they intend to release an update for this title but we have no timescale for its release at present.
A340-500/600
31 January 2007: The DVD-ROM version of the Airbus A340-500/600 is now fully compatible with FSX as well as FS2004. All DVD-ROM copies of this add-on will henceforth be compatible with both host sims.
15 February 2007: If you have already bought the DVD-ROM version of this expansion, download and install the 192Mb Update from the Support section.
If you bought this expansion by Download, you can re-download an updated 208Mb installer here.
Following the above procedures will also ensure that the A340-500/600 also works in the Vista Operating System.
A400M Airlifter
22 January 2008: An update (97.5Mb) for FSX compatibility is now available in the A400M Support section - click here for full details.
Airbus Collection
7 December 2006: The DVD-ROM version of Airbus Collection is now compatible with FSX. If you bought the boxed version of this expansion before this date, an FSX compatibility update is available here.
9 December 2006: If you have already bought the Download, download and install the new download files for full FSX compatibility.
Airliner Pilot
31 October 2006: Due to several serious incompatibility problems with FSX an update is not currently not planned for this title. We do intend to release a new and improved version for FSX in the future.
British Airports series
Gary Summons, the developer of this airport scenery series, has posted a statement on his website about FSX compatibility. As regards the British Airports packages sold by Just Flight, various serious problems are evident when trying to use these add-ons in FSX; these include graphics bugs, the display of roads and rivers, non-functioning airgates and bad ground flashing.
As to the viability of patching these add-ons for use in FSX, Gary states that they: "can not be converted to FSX without an entire rewrite... This process would take months, maybe years, so the question of doing it at all Vs just accepting it has come to the end of development life needs to be considered."
It would thus seem that any patches for these products are extremely unlikely to be forthcoming and that they should be considered as NOT compatible with FSX.
C-130 Hercules
June 2 2008: C-130 Hercules has now been fully re-worked for FSX (and SP2/Vista) by the development team at Captain Sim and we are currently putting together a Just Flight version which is due for release on 8th August. An upgrade path will be made available for existing owners of the Just Flight C-130 package – more details about this will be announced soon.
Cargo Pilot
28 March 2007: Cargo Pilot Update 02 (9Mb) is now available to download from the Support section.
It updates Cargo Pilot (both the DVD-ROM and Download) for use in FSX and Windows Vista and also on 64-bit PCs, as well as adding other enhancements and features. See the Support section for full details.
NOTE: This is a cumulative update. It includes Update 01 and can be installed on any previous version of Cargo Pilot prior to version 1.3
Concorde Professional
Due to the complexity of this title an update may take a while. It is in the developers' plans.
F-117A Stealth Fighter
24 November 2006: F-117A Stealth Fighter (DVD-ROM and Download) are now FSX compatible. If you bought the DVD-ROM version of the F-117A before this date, an update is now available from the Support section.
Users who bought the Download before this date should download and install the new FSX-compatible software here.
Flying Club
May 2007: A 300Mb update to provide full FSX compatibility for the boxed version of Flying Club is available from the Support section. This will allow all the aircraft in the existing FS2004 package to function fully in FSX. (Shoreham airport scenery, however, has NOT been updated to work in FSX.)
Flying Club aircraft Downloads
All the Download versions of the four Flying Club aircraft can now be made FSX compatible by downloading and installing the relevant update for each aircraft. Click on the following links for more information:
C152 (9Mb), Seneca (18Mb), Tomahawk (10Mb), Warrior (15Mb)
Note that these updates are ONLY for the single Download versions of the aircraft. If you bought the complete Flying Club package on DVD-ROM, a patch to update the add-on for FSX compatibiilty is being worked on at the moment.
A fully FSX-compatible version of the Flying Club package - titled Flying Club X - is now on sale for £29.99/€44.95/$49.99. It now includes the Schweizer 300CBi helicopter that is also available on its own as a Download.
(New FSX compatible versions of the Flying Club/Flying Club X fixed-wing aircraft will be available to download shortly. These will be fully compatible with FSX with no need for an update/patch.)

FS Terrain and FS Global SE
As the default mesh in FSX is of the same LOD (level of detail) as these titles, they are now redundant in FSX.
G-44 Widgeon
FSX compatible - no update required
Lancaster
May 2007: The developers (Aeroplane Heaven) are currently investigating the possibility of patching Lancaster so as it can work in Flight Simulator X. However, following the release of SP2 and because this aircraft is so complex it is unlikely that a patch to fully update it to SP2 standards will be forthcoming any time soon. A 'general' patch for FS2004 (Service Pack 1 - 115Mb) has been released and is available from the Support section.
RAF Tornado
An FSX update is now available here, although please note that this only updates the aircraft for use in FSX - the scenery and refuelling module are unfortunately not compatible with FSX.
The Download version of this add-on is already FSX-compatible. If you have the Download version, there is no need to install the update.
RAF Vulcan
May 2008: An FSX-compatible version of RAF Vulcan is now available on DVD-ROM and by Download (100Mb). Existing owners of our FS2004 version of RAF Vulcan can purchase a 55Mb downloadable upgrade to FSX/Windows XP compatibility.
Spitfire
18 May 2007 : All aircraft in the newly released Download version of Spitfire are fully FSX-compatible.
Owners of the DVD-ROM Spitfire package should download the FSX Update (139Mb) - please read the installation instructions carefully!
Note: The scenery of Duxford will unfortunately not work in FSX.
Spitfire and Tempest
FSX compatible - no update required if purchased since March 3rd 2007. Owners of the original FS2004 version purchased before this date should simply download the installer again from here and this will provide the latest FS2004/FSX version.
10 June 2008: An update for the Tiger Moth (DVD-ROM and Download) is now available.
This contains several fixes and also updates the FSX version for full SP2/Acceleration compatibility. This update is cumulative and includes all previously available updates in addition to the new files.
The update files are available here, along with installation instructions. Note that there is a one file for FS2004 users and one for those who are flying Tiger Moth in FSX.
People who have brought any of the additional Tiger Moth packs (Float Plane Pack, Ski Plane Pack or the combined Float & Ski Plane Double Pack) simply need to re-download and install the files again from here. This will fully update the aircraft and you will not need to install the update as you would if you just had the standard Tiger Moth package.
(The Download files have been updated, so anyone buying the Download version of Tiger Moth from now on will have the up-to-date version. Anyone buying the DVD-ROM from this date forwards will still need to download and install the update.)
Traffic 2004
May 2007: An update is unlikely to be produced for this title.
Traffic 2005
24 November 2006: If you bought either the DVD-ROM or Download version of Traffic 2005 before this date, a patch (70.6Mb) is now available to make both versions fully compatible with Flight Simulator X. For full details, click here.
As from this date, Traffic 2005 has been renamed Traffic, and both the DVD-ROM and Download are fully FSX-compatible.
Garry J. Smith, the repaint maestro behind many of the liveries in this package, has put together three slideshows to display the liveries - click to view:
