FLIGHT SIMULATOR X COMPATIBILITY - INSTALLATION HINTS

The way that files are arranged in Flight Simulator means that virtually all FS2004 products will need a patch. In many cases the patch may simply re-arrange files within Flight Simulator, but this is much safer if done automatically than by copying and pasting files to different locations.

Also, some products may have been updated or enhanced previously and any patches we release for FSX will include these enhancements to save you having to install them all over again.

Generally, to update a product you’ll need to do the following. Download the patch from our Support section to a temporary location on your PC (normally we use the desktop).

Then, close down all other programs. Insert the original Just Flight product DVD (or CD) and install the product into Flight Simulator X. For download products, simply run the installer again.

During the installation you’ll see the ‘Destination location’ screen.

Click on ‘Browse’ and navigate to the Flight Simulator X folder.

Click ‘OK’ and then click ‘Next’ to continue with the installation.

When installation is complete, run the patch, making sure you have followed any special instructions from the Support section.
